21:08 Kingwood Township Vol. Fire Company, Kingwood Township Rescue Squad, Raritan Townships FAST team and Frenchtown Fire were alerted to a possible Structure fire on County Road 519.  Deputy Chief Frank Floyd responded directly to the scene and established command.  Upon arrival all occupants were out of the building, house filling with smoke, homeowner believes the furnance blew up.  Deputy Chief Floyd confirm the source of the smoke was the Fuel Oil Fired furnance.  Engines 16-64 and 16-61 in addition to Tender 16-71 responed to the scene.  Upon confirmation of the malfunction Deputy Chief Floyd cancelled the Frenchtown Vol. Fire Company and the Raritan Township Volunteer Fire Company.  The furnance was shutdown and the house was ventilated.  Homeowner stayed with a friend over night and will have the furnance service company come to investigate the furnance malfunction.
